The Academy Parade Band
is the parade formation of
Academy and Musical Body Concordia S. Cecilia of
Caronno Pertusella,
where the continuous desire to grow and get involved has led us to approach the world of
Marching Show Band.
The Academy and Musical Body Concordia S. Cecilia approaches for the first time in the Marching Show Band world in June 2010, when, after a few weeks of work, he took part in the Marching Parade Competition, an event promoted by the IMSB, at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, in the entry level category.
The enthusiasm born of this experience stimulates the group to repeat itself the following year at the Marching Parade Competition (entry level cat.). In addition, in July 2011 the Concordia S. Cecilia Musical Corps took part in the Italian Marching Band Festival for the Unification of Italy, an event organized by the IMSB to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Italian State and was awarded with the medal of the President of the Republic G. Napolitano.
In March 2012, with the renewal of the percussion section, the group timidly takes its first steps with the name of "Academy Parade Band"Participating in the second edition
of the IMSB "Color Guard & Percussion Day" event with the show "A little Beat" with the desire to tell "the great desire to play, have fun and grow together".
The following June the Academy Parade Band participates in the Marching Parade Competition, for the first time in the Free Style category, presenting the "Sounds of Tango" show and finishing in 4th place.
In July 2012 the group performs at the Street Parade city of Cremona, promoted by IMSB.
In 2013 the Academy Parade Band hosts the event organized by IMSB Color Guard and Percussion Day III Edition, at the Palazzetto dello Sport of Caronno Pertusella. On this occasion, red and blue, traditional colors of the uniforms that have distinguished the Concordia Santa Cecilia Musical Body over the years, participating in numerous events in Italy and Europe, make room for the white, silver and black of the new uniform
in marching style of the Academy Parade Band.
Il 10 Maggio del 2014
l'Academy Parade Band partecipa all'inaugurazione dell'Expo Gate
sfilando per le più importanti vie di Milano, passando dal Duomo, arrivando fino in piazza Castello.
Un importantissimo evento che ha dato il via a numerosi eventi targati Expo che hanno visto l'APB protagonista.
nfatti, in quello stesso anno, Academy Parade Band sarà la colonna sonora dell'Expo Tour - Regione Lombardia
in diverse province della nostra regione come Monza, Como, Lecco e Varese.
Nel 2015 è per Academy Parade Band un orgoglio arrivare a sfilare per le vie del Cardo e del Decumano a
Expo Milano 2015.
Soffermandosi a suonare davanti al Palazzo della Lombardia, Il Padiglione Italia e l'Albero della Vita.
Evento che si replicherà poi a ottobre dello stesso anno dove, ancora una volta, si esibisce nell'area del padiglione italiano rappresentando il mondo delle marching band lombarde legate all'associazione IMSB - Italia Marching Show Bands.
June 18th 2016, on the occasion of the anniversary for its 120 years of foundation, Academy Parade Band is the first Italian marching band to host the first Italian contest
in collaboration with IMSB.
At the Academy Parade Band contest, he presents for the first time to the public the "Moulin Rouge" drill, ranking at first place
with a score of 81.40 in the Open Class category.
From the October 15th 2016
the Academy Parade Band can boast of having paraded in the most famous amusement park in Italy: GARDALAND PARK.
Then it will return also in 2017 and 2019.
